Rakesh Thapar, Ph.D., has joined the company as Vice President, Product and Technology

Aires is pleased to announce that Rakesh Thapar, Ph.D., has joined the company as Vice President, Product and Technology. In this newly created role, Rakesh will be responsible for overall information and business technology leadership, focusing on Aires technical strategy, architecture growth/transformation, and IT operational excellence.

Dr. Thapar brings more than 30 years of information technology experience and leadership to Aires, having gained increasing responsibility throughout his career. He most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer for a Pittsburgh area software firm.

The addition of Rakesh to Aires’ leadership team will allow Aires to continue to grow and scale the company’s technology operations. His strategic hire will ensure the Innovative Technologies team continues to develop solutions that make global mobility less stressful and more efficient for clients, their employees, and Aires colleagues by providing pioneering technology solutions that connect people, share information, and automate tasks.

Rakesh received a doctorate degree in computer engineering from Boston University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Colorado State University. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University for more than 14 years.
